DASHLIGHTS ALL ON IN MY 2001 HONDA ACCORD FULL
The surging I have seen before in other cars, and I never noted what caused it or what to do to remedy it.Ĭentral Mississippi, and yes, it has a full tank that was filled three years ago. Could just be dead bulbs, but it is sort of weird. All other dash lights seem to work when POST runs at startup.

I am somewhat concerned that I have a few bulbs in the shift display on the dash that do not light up. I am assuming the burning smell will go away after a good cleaning. There is a LOT of trash under the hood from squirrels, mostly pecan and acorn shells. After some minutes of doing this and me shifting through the range of the transmission I started to smell burning. You can see in the video the circumstances. However, after about ten minutes of idling while I messed with the stereo (now giving me the "CODE" instruction on the display, and we do not have the code as we bought it used in 2004) the engine started to surge like this. However, installing the 2010's battery fully did the trick. I tried to jump it from my 2010 Accord and it would not jump. Of course, all tested bad or too low to crank the car. Today I tried several batteries I have to see if it would start up. During the time the Accord was trapped the battery crapped out with a bad cell. We had to temporarily park it in with another car that ended up dying in place. It was running more or less fine when it was parked. This Accord has been parked for about two years.
